Happy Valentine's Day!  I can't believe it's already mid February - YIKES.  The time sure has gone so quickly.  Although this little cutie has made his debut a few weeks ago, we wanted to share with you the rest of his awesome session.

It has been such a blessing to be part of such special moments in Mishanna & Chad's lives, we can't wait to see what the future has in store for their amazing family.  

Special thanks to The Grunion Run for making Max look extra dapper with his suspenders.  Be sure to stay tuned as they will be launching their boys collection soon.  (Needless to say, we can't wait!)

Downtown Los Angeles Maternity Session // Fatima & Titus

If you follow us on Facebook, (if you have not yet, join us here) you may remember a post that I mentioned about how excited I was to hear the awesome news of one of my dearest friends sharing the news of expecting a new little one.  I want to introduce you to my sister from another mister, Fatima.  In my past life as a nurse, Fatima and I were inseparable (with many moments of us getting into trouble for laughing so much) - many moments of patients confusing us for one another.  We have so many great memories together.  If you know Fatima you will agree with me when I say that her laugh is contagious & her smile is truly genuine.  

As many of her and Tus' friends and family know, these two were always meant for one another and to find out they were expecting was such exciting news.  This past Sunday, we celebrated with one awesome baby shower - these two are more than loved.  During the baby shower, they also revealed their little bundle of joy's name - Baby Dominic.  There is an awesome story behind choosing his name, but I'll leave that for the parents-to-be to share.

It's so awesome to see how excited Tus is for his soon-to-be bundle of joy.  I always love when father's show so much excitement, love and emotion.  Tus shows and shares all of the above.  Tus is going to be an amazing daddy.   

We were blessed to have captured such a wonderful moment in their lives and be part of so many more.  Congratulations again Fatima and Tus, we can't wait to meet Dominic real soon.

Welcoming Baby Scarlett at 8 Days Young // Simi Valley, California

At only 8 days young, the beautiful Scarlett June was a natural in front of the camera.  She was wide awake for most of our time together, it was so hard not to fall in love with every look she gave.  

For those of you who do not have the pleasure of knowing the Gomez family, we have to take this moment to introduce you to BIG SISTER, Bella!  She's one of the most friendliest little ladies, and her and I became friends instantly.  You wouldn't know this by looking at our photos, but Bella and I had some fun reading books to one another and playing with her dolls.  Yep!  Perks of the job.  Bella's gonna be such an amazing big sister, I am sure she will teach Scarlett all the wonders of being a little girl.  

April & Eddie, thank you so very much for allowing Chris and I to be part of such an amazing time in your lives.  We can't wait to see your girls continue to grow and capture many more moments.  Congratulations again to your newest, most adorable little lady & welcome to this beautiful world, Scarlett June. 

Family Portraits with the Maz Family // Lakewood, California

There are so many moments in our lives that are uncertain. When you find yourself in one of these moments, it's the little things that matter.  The smiles on your children's faces for no apparent reason, the cool breeze on your face as the wind blows, that small trinket that you got from the vending machine in front of the supermarket that once meant nothing, now means the world to you.  

This is the case with the Maz family.  When Maria asked to schedule a session with her family, I didn't know any of this, as this was my first time meeting Maria and her beautiful family.  As we chatted through our time together, she shared with me that these photos were super special.  At that moment she shared her moment of uncertainty in her life at that time.  You see her father had been in the hospital & she wanted to be sure to take photos of her and her family as she put it "you just never know."  

I've said it before and I say it all the time: one of the greatest blessings as a photographer is to be able to capture these moments that may or may not mean much now, but looking back one day will mean the world to you. 

Maz family, thank so much for allowing Chris and I to capture these moments with your beautiful family.  I look forward to our next session together soon and know that you and your family are in our prayers.  

Family Fun on a Cold December Day in California // Los Angeles, Ca.

I am pretty sure you recognize this beautiful family.  Chris & I have been blessed to be part of so many happy moments in their lives, and we are grateful to be able to capture such priceless milestones with their family.

Unlike the rest of December, the day of our session was pretty chilly but yet we managed to still have an awesome time & capture some great moments together. You see this session marked Kassy's 6 month milestone. You can't help but smile when you see her laugh and toothless smile at her Mommy & Daddy. Her Ate Addy is such a great big sister, so careful and protective over Kassy & you can tell they are gonna be best of friends.  

Sarah and Daj, it's always a blast to spend some time together and watch your family continue to grow.  We are truly grateful that we are along for this beautiful ride.  See you all again real soon.

Awesome Family Moments with The Roman Family // LACMA, Los Angeles, Ca.

Although I feel like I've known Dania for years, we only met earlier this year, and at Bootsy Bellows of all locations.  Chris and I photographed the event for The Event Planners Association that evening, and Dania and I were instant friends.  Dania is the talent behind Simply Spectacular Events and is awesome at what she does.  She also has the pleasure of helping out her also talented and close friend, Cristina from Posh Peony.  Check them both out. 

Again with the beauty of social media, we continued to keep in touch, despite our busy schedules.  

When it came time for family photos, we decided to come out to LACMA, we had more than an awesome time together and it was a treat to meet and hang out with the whole family.  It was extra special as Dania invited our kids to come along on their session so that the kids could enjoy each others company after for dinner.  

Dania and Jesse, you have such a beautiful family, and we are super blessed to call you friends.  We look forward to continuing to see Sophia, Sebastian and Samantha continue to grow.  Love you all!

A Little Bit of Family Time with the David Family // Los Angeles, California

I am sure her beautiful smile looks familiar, you are right, it's the gorgeous Desiree.  I had the opportunity to capture some images of her at our MAMCF photo session earlier in the year.  If you have the chance, check out her blog post here.  

I was super excited with each email Deigh and I exchanged regarding plans for our family session together.  Even more so when we arrived at LACMA the day of.  

Chris and I have a super fun time with Paul, Desiree and their adorable little girl, Chloe.  Although a bit camera shy, we were able to capture the love the David family shares for one another, there is no doubt about that.  

As Desiree continues to inspire so many of us with her determination, drive and positive attitude when it comes to kicking cancer's butt, it's her genuine love for her family that sees her through.  Desiree was recently featured on Asian Journal, be sure to stop by and get to know more about her. Paul is such a fun, caring, loving husband, daddy and friend - another inspiration and shares his support and love to those fighting alongside loved ones through The Sitting Daddy Project.
