Urban Family Portraits in Downtown Santa Ana // Claremont Family Photography

We love the Dabbs family!

If you haven't noticed, our newest member of the Holt Photography family is our sister from another mister, Faith.  We don't know how we ever did it without her.

Our session took place in Downtown Santa Ana, where the Dabbs family had a cute little place they called home.

It was only a week or so after this session that they moved out of the area, but wanted to take a little piece of their home in Santa Ana with them on their newest adventure.

This GOD fearing family is too much fun to be around.  I hope that one day, each of you get the opportunity to meet Faith.  She's our ray of sunshine on a cloudy day!

Anthony, Faith, Noah and Addyson, we can't thank you enough for coming into our lives and making all things right again :)

Faith - love you to the moon and back!

Newborn Portraits | Gavin Simone

"Let me love you a little more, before you aren't little anymore." - Michelle Thevenot

When I saw the quote above, I immediately knew that it was something I needed to share with you.  As we are asked to do a newborn session, we know how important this time is and how quickly time passes.  We are so blessed to be part of the newest chapters in their lives.  The truth is our little one's never stay little.  After the days have passed of swaddling our little bundles of joy, the only memory [or evidence for their wedding day] we have left are photos.

Maurena and Dan, congrats again on your little guy! Mackenzie, we are so excited that you get to be a BIG sister!  Gavin we are so grateful to have been a part of your welcoming to the world.  We know your big sister will take great care of you.

One Year Grow With Me Portraits at Malaga Cove in Redondo Beach // Claremont Children Photography

Aloha... Hawaiian for love, welcome, farewell.  It's a feeling, it's an action, it's a way of life.

Over the years we have been blessed with the Aloha from the Yamashiro family.  They have become part of our lives, not only friends but family... ohana.

We cant believe how quickly time passes, we still remember when Mari told us that they were expecting.  It's been such a blast seeing Milly continue to grow into her own beautiful being.  She has her sweet big sister Maya to look up to and learn from.  Fast forward a few months, we are excited to hear that Glenn and Mari are expecting baby #3 on the way.  Maya is already an amazing big sister, can't wait to see Milly take the role of a big sister as well.

Glenn, Mariko, Maya and Milly... we love you guys and can't wait to be a part of the next chapter in your lives.

Yagami Family Portraits in Boyle Heights // Claremont Family Photographer

The Yagami Family are such a fun and unique family and we couldn't have been more honored to  photograph their extended family.

Their grandmother was living at a retirement home in Los Angeles and with some family flying in from Japan, she was surrounded by her family for some beautiful portraits.

There were a total of four generations and we couldn't treasure our time more.

The stories between them are countless as Yasuko's granddaughter has learned to play the koto under June Kuramoto from Hiroshima and has played in numerous shows and cultural events. Her grandson is also an accomplished chef that has served many celebrities and dignitaries from Beverly Hills to Japan.

We couldn't be prouder to see their family grow not only with their accomplishments, but with the love for their family.

Although their grandmother passed soon after taking these portraits, her legacy and heritage are clearly on display for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren for many years to come.

We're so grateful to be able to create these family portraits for the Yagami family and we hope you enjoy them as well!

If you need to update your family portraits or maybe you haven't taken any, I encourage you contact us to do so and start sharing your legacy with your loved ones!

I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

Grow With Me | Keanan 1 Year Portraits

I love our Grow With Me sessions! It give us an opportunity to capture the early moments in your children's live that seem to escape us so quickly. Kids grow up in a blink of an eye. I love getting the chance to help you preserve those fleeting moments, so that you have the memories to hold on to for a lifetime.

I had the privilege to document Ravi and Dimple's sweet son, Keanan, throughout his life. It has been such a joy to watch him and his personality grow into the sweet little boy he is today! Thank you, Ravi and Dimple, for allowing me the honor of documenting his first year. We look forward to seeing you guys again soon!

Disneyland Day for Foster Kids with Together We Rise // Claremont Family Photography

Out of all the Disneyland visits I've had, I've never experienced it through a child's view, let alone a foster child's eyes. If I could take it one step further, a foster child's eyes that had never experienced Disneyland.

If I could take it another step further, all ten foster kids in our group had never experienced Disneyland and a few of them were reunited with their siblings while they were there. How awesome is that?!

With volunteers as their guide, the kids were be able to explore the rides and adventures with their sticky fingers and Mickey ears. To watch them meet their favorite characters for the first time while chomping on churros and lollipops was absolutely priceless!

With the help Together We Rise, a local non-profit organization which organized the children, volunteers, photographers and sponsors, they made over 300 foster kids' dreams come true! To capture their joy and excitement was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It made me realize how special it is to love on those who need it more than I know.

We're looking to work closer with Together We Rise in the future to help more kids transition through their foster experience in a positive and fun way.

If you want to learn more about what Together We Rise does and their impact on foster children, check out their site: Together We Rise

I hope you enjoy these images from their Disney Day!
